"The Journey Of A Thousand Miles Starts With A Single Step". Well my first single step was my first big mistake, I dumped one of the nicest guys in our class Peter shortly after we graduated, to go off and try to find myself. Well I found myself pregnant with Jeff Little's child and so we married in June of 1966, YIKES what a way to start out my life and a marriage. But I was young and thought that maybe this marriage might work out.The only thing that was good about the marriage was my two daughter's Tracy born Feb, 1967 and Kerry born June, 1968. Tracy got her degree in Art out in Colorado and is an art teacher in Mora MN. Kerry joined the National Gaurd out of high school and got her secretrial training at WITC, and served in the Gulf War. She married her high school sweetheart (smart girl unlike her mother) and has given me the gift of two grand daughters Breanna 3 and a half, and Kerra 4 months. After my divorce in 1975 I was determined to follow my dream of being a singer and joined up with Lori Nord's husband Bruce Nelson, Steve Petruk, in a band called TRIAD, cousin Dave Beetcher joined us shortly after me. Second mistake was getting involved with the lead player in the band, and when that didn't work out neither did the band, so I left the band. I then auditioned for a band in Duluth called Moon, and was asked to join them, around the same time I also started working for the Superior School District as a Bus Driver. Joining this band introduced me to my soul mate Jerry Mattson the lead player in the band. The band disbanded when I had to take some time off to rest my voice due to nodes on my vocal cords, but Jerry and I stayed together, for six beautiful years. During those six years we did some Duo work at St. Williams church and recorded one of the Christmas Eve performance's on cassett one of my most precious momentos. We also formed another band called Golden Days. My 3rd mistake was not being mature enough to work through the problems Jerry and I were facing and I walked away again, in search of something. It was 1982 and I was lost and drinking too much. Trying to raise two kids on my meager income from school bus driving, bartending, greens keeping at Pattison Golf Course. Musically I was singing solo, Ocapala/ without accompaniment, for weddings and funerals. In 1985 I went on a canoe trip with a friend, to Quetico Canada it was a life changing experience and I left the old me behind. I found my desire for the art of photography while I was up there, and I realized my need to stop drinking. I spent the next 10 years teaching myself how to CREATE photographs, and enjoying my love of nature and being out in the woods as much as I could and solo canoing. During these ten years my physical condition was deterioating, and I was finally diagnoised with Fybromyalgia in 1990. I was in denial about that until I injured my shoulder in 1996, while cleaning the school bus for the up coming school year. Due to the shoulder injury and two surgeries later, I developed Chronic Myofacial Pain and in addition to the Fibromyalgia I could no longer work. Between 1996-2003 I lost my ability to be independent, I lost my home, both my parents. 2001 and 2 I lived in Cambridge MN. while I got back on my feet finnacially, emotionally, physically as much as I can considering the nature of this beast that I must live with. I have lived here in the Supereior area all my life, except for the two years in Cambridge. I moved around Superior and the surronding area too many times to mention, although I did manage to stay in the Amnicon Lake area for 12 years, the longest I stayed in one place, lots of good friends there. I have settled here in Solon Springs, for the past 3 years. My accomplishments, messing up my life pretty good! But on the positive side, singing solo is probably at the top. My hobbies are still singing, (although some of you that have never heard me sing before this past class reunion probably think I can't sing a note, UGH! ) photography, painting, sewing, golfing, bicycling, walking and working on this WEB SITE, and teaching myself how to operate a computer and still learning. Oh I guess this belongs with accomplishments, I cut ten cord of wood to heat my home for 15 years, my girls helped me 5 of those years but the last ten years I did all by myself, and if I could I would still be doing it. Note that your profile will only display your name and personal comment (whatever biographical or other information you might choose to enter about yourself). The other important information, your email and mailing address, is not visible but instead is used internally for supporting the "Send you a Message" option and for showing the city you live in on the "Where are they now?" map. Access for you to review/update your detailed profile information requires establishing email/password credentials for you to login to the site. Classmate Email Addresses
The classmate email addresses below are being provided here temporarily to aid those classmates listed in verifying the site has the correct email address for them under their classmate profile. The profiles in the Classmates list for these folks have all been updated with the current email addresses shown for them here. You'll find two lists of email addresses below:
- Verified email addresses which have verified as accurate in the Dec/22 time frame through email exchanges with their owners.
- Validated but unverified email addresses: This list came from one that was maintained over the years by Pat with updates folks would send her. These emails are valid in that an email to them was not rejected by the mail servers. But no response was received from the associated classmate so we don't know if the classmate is actually receiving these emails any longer. If you see yourself on this list, then please Contact us to provide your correct address information.
The plan is to remove the view of these lists from the site after folks have had a few weeks time to veify their address is accurate. Since we've ensured these addresses have now been included in each person's classmate profile, keeping the list here isn't needed to communicate with them and presents the concern that some internet troll might snatch them for use in spamming operations.
Note that the email addresses in the list here are the same as those configured (but not displayed) under each correspondingly named classmate profile listed earlier above. Note though, that the email adddress list here does not cover all the profiles that are listed above. That is, some of the classmate profiles above are for classmates not named in the below email addresses list. Those other profiles may not have an email address configured or may have one that isn't included in the list below. For help ensuring the email addresses for those other profiles are correct and for help ensuring the general information, such as home mailing address, for any profile is correct, refer to these User Tips.
