Linda Kay Adolphson, 68, of Superior, died Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Duluth.
She was born May 21, 1947, daughter of Herbert and Ivaloe (Thompson) Adolphson.
Linda graduated from Superior East High School in 1965.
Her work history included 28 years as a cook at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Linda was an avid reader, loved doing word and search puzzles, and enjoyed dog sitting her sister, Nancy’s dogs.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Dave and Richard; little sister, Kristen; and brother-in-law, Gary Berggren.
Survivors include her sisters, Nancy Adolphson, South Range, Wis., Karen Berggren, Superior, Mary (Ron) Terry, Gordon, Wis., and Sue (Dan) Hoeffling, Killen, Texas; brothers, Paul (Patty) Adolphson and John (Chris) Adolphson, Superior; sister-in-law, Stella Adolphson, Lake Nebagamon, Wis.; 23 nieces and nephews; 41 grandnieces and grandnephews; and a great-grandniece.
Visitation will be from 10 until the 12 noon service, Monday, September 14, 2015, at Darrow Road Wesleyan Church, Superior. Pastor Mark A. Holmes will officiate.
Everyone is invited to stay for a luncheon that will be served at the church. Following the luncheon, the family will travel to Greenwood Cemetery for the private committal prayers.
The family wishes to thank the staff and many friends at Villa-Marina Health and Rehabilitation Center, Superior, where Linda resided the last 4 years. A special thanks to her friend, Doris. They also want to thank St. Luke’s Hospital, I.C.U., for their exceptional care and kindness.
